P3 - Mrs Ashfield
What a fantastic start to the year we have had! P3A have had an absolute blast and got readily stuck into our topic of Lighthouses. We have discovered so many amazing facts about them. Did you know that a Lighthouse is used as a landmark? It is not only used to shine a light brightly and keep our ships safe. We have looked at lighthouses around the world and even talked about the characteristics of a good light house keeper. We all agreed they would have to be brave and not afraid of heights!
There is always a history hero or heroine to get to know and this month we discovered all about the brave and wonderful Grace Darling- as well as the modern day heroes of the R.N.L.I. How inspiring to see how brave and kind people can be!
It’s amazing how much fun we can have through play while exploring a topic and hope you enjoy looking through our gallery of photographs which show off our junk models, pastel sketches and much more.
Have you ever read any of the Lighthouse Keepers Lunch stories? They made us laugh so much and we would thoroughly recommend them! We were even inspired to write newspaper reports, comic strips, letters and even stories of our own. Mrs Ashfield is amazed at how hard we have been working and the fabulous things we have done.
We are loving being in P3 and are keen to get stuck into new adventures in the coming Months!
